Hockey is a team sport played across men's and women's competitions. It is played on a water based turf pitch and games are 2 x 25 min halves. There is a requirement for each team to fulfill duty requirements as per the draw.
Teams will be required to register a minimum squad of 14 players to participate at the EUGs. For teams to avoid a forfeit fine they will be required to field 7 players at the start of their scheduled game time. Teams are able to have 3 players cross accredit from another sport at the EUGs.
Women's hockey is a qualification sport for the Australian University Games.
Draws for hockey will be available online a week prior to EUGs.

Facilities: Outdoor hockey complex with three hockey pitches, toilets, change rooms and spectator seating (both fixed and grass) available.
Warm up areas: Competition pitches will double as warmup courts. Depending on the draw, some pitches may be specifically reserved as warm up courts

Catering: Canteen facilities available on venue
Sports Medicine: A sports medicine representative will be present. Taping with players’ own tape is free, but a fee will apply to use trainers’ tape.
Draws will not be made available until the week before the event, with results made accessible once the event has commenced.

Duties & Uniform
Australian University Sport (AUS) conducts its competitions under the official playing rules and regulations implemented by the national sporting organisation for that sport. However, AUS events are unique and hence there are often variations that are implemented.
